The DSME yard in South Korea has ordered a total of 54 Wärtsilä dual fuel engines to power 172,600 cbm icebreaking LNG carriers being built for use in arctic conditions to serve the Yamal LNG project in Northern Russia.
The new 250 MW emergency reserve power plant near Kiisa, Estonia has been inaugurated. Wärtsilä has been responsible for the EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) delivery of the plant and for the project management.
Two new 150 ton bollard pull anchor handling offshore support vessels being built in Sri Lanka have been designed by Wärtsilä and will be powered by Wärtsilä integrated propulsion systems.
